(Bob Weir)

Ratdog Tour and Bob Weir appearances and the January cruise have been cancelled. We should keep Bobby in our hopes and prayers. At this point, there is not an official reason for the tour being cancelled, however Bob has struggled with heath issues for the last year. We wish him the best and hope to see him again next year.

During the 90's, a lot of fans became obsessed with Bobby vs. Phil. Who is better. Who is their favorite. We need to appreciate them both while they are here. Be thankful of all the years that both Bobby and Phil have been on tour. Next year is the 50th anniversary of the Grateful Dead. Most Americans don't work 50 years in a lifetime. I spent 20 years doing tour on a part time basis. The 30 shows a year I did, were very exhausting. 50 years on the road entertaining us, is very impressive. I can't think of a musician that has performed more shows than Bobby, Phil, and Mickey. They all deserve our respect.

I was on a blog today about Bobby being sick. A Phil fan made the ignorant comment "Bobby Who". Well, let me tell you who Bobby is. Bob Weir is the guy that went to work every week for 49 years to entertain you. Bobby is the guy who has kept the Grateful Dead alive for 19 years after Jerry died. So what if Bobby and Phil are tired after 49 year on the road. I would be too! Bob Weir, you and the other members of the Dead that have kept us entertained for so many years, on so many roads, have my greatest respect.

Peace be with you Bobby. Get well soon.
