Friends of the Grateful Dead  Tours

After Jerry Garcia died. The former members and friends that played with the Grateful Dead over the years, kept the music alive. Below are the former members and friends that are still touring today and their 2014 tours. Phil Lesh, Bob Weir, Mickey Hart, Robert Hunter, Bruce Hornsby, Bill Kreutzmann, David Grisman, Dave Nelson, Tom Constanten and Donna Jean Godchaux have kept the music of the Grateful Dead alive and are still touring today. The Dead Announces the closing of the Furthur Chapter. The Official announcement is below.

"To our loyal Furthur fans and members of the Furthur community at furthur.net, we'd like to thank you for a terrific ride. We'll be closing up shop at furthur.net, and heading onward. Thanks for making the Furthur community a great place to hang out, and for coming out to the shows. We'll all be keeping very busy over the foreseeable future, and it's time to let Furthur take a bow. We enjoyed the ride more than we can possibly express. You can keep tabs on Phil's activities at www.terrapincrossroads.net, Bob's activities at www.bobweir.net and all Grateful Dead news at www.dead.net"

Don't forget. This coming year is the 50th Anniversary of the Grateful Dead. If a tour is planned, we will let you know. Bob Weir told Rolling Stone magazine, "We have to do something commemorative". We can only hope for the best!
